1945, World War 2. This is a PR film by and for the US army and navy. A female soldier anchors a programme for US soldiers. Lexington, Kentucky: Home for soldiers in training at Kentucky University. A bar and a waitress serving beer. An amusement park with a rollercoaster. We also see an ad sign for "Seven Up". Seattle: We see Martha Wilkerson, also known as "Jill", the hostess of a radio show called "GI Jive". It was a radio program transmitted by the Armed Forces Radio Service for entertainment of soldiers in World War II. New York City. Easter Day. Crowds gathering in front of St. Patrick´s and St. John´s Cathedral and in Harlem. We see visitors at a flower show. Hollywood: older stars are singing: "Down by the Old Mill Stream". The singers are: Jimmy Durante, Allen Jenkins, Sterling Holloway, Hugh Herbert, Hugh Herbert, William Gargan, Edward Brophy, Andy Devine, Alan Hale, Robert Benchley, Arthur Treacher.
